Funeral services for Ms. Martha Jean Hickman Guillotte, 78 of Florien will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Ms. Guillotte will begin on Friday, July 2 at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time at 2:00 p.m.

Ms. Guillotte was born on February 15, 1943 in Jennings to Cye Prien and Glia Marie Benoit Hickman.  After her high school graduation, she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Langley for forty years. Upon retiring, she went to work at Walmart and was employed there for seventeen years. 

She was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and served as their President.  She was also an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.

Ms. Guillotte passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 in Many, LA where she was currently living.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two beloved sisters Maydel Egbert of Florien and Virgie Lege along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and several siblings, Nelson Istre, Melta Mae Istre, Riley Hickman, Sam Hickman and Aledia Hickman Lacomb.
