Mr. Leger was a lifelong resident of this community and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where he read at mass and taught a Confirmation class. After attending Lake Arthur High, he worked at NOV Fluid Control. He enjoyed playing video games with his kids, planting trees, woodworking, and helping others.
Marshal will be remembered as a kind, gentle, loving and faithful man. He always said “I love you,” even to strangers. He gave to charity and was always the first person to volunteer to help someone regardless of how sick he was feeling. He loved animals, he rescued many. He gave the world’s best hugs and the most sincere compliments.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Leger; his daughter, Ella Leger; his son, Emery Leger; his parents, Keith Leger and Karen Marceaux; his brothers, Matthew, Mark, and Alex Leger; and his maternal grandparents Bill and Mazie Marceaux.
Mr. Leger is preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Boudreaux and paternal grandparents Con and Marie Leger.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to his children.
