Marjorie May Duhon

Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie May Bertrand Duhon, 85, will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Duhon died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 9:31 a.m. in the Golden Age Nursing Home of Welsh. Mrs. Duhon was a native of Welsh and lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School, a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She worked as a clerk for Meyers Pharmacy and was a homemaker. She loved to play bingo and bourre. Mrs. Duhon is survived by a daughter; Rena Faye Arneaux and husband Ray of Lake Arthur, two sons; Steadman Teddy Duhon and wife Rosalie of Jennings Bobby Wayne Duhon and wife Christine of Lake Arthur, a sister; Dean Domingue of Lake Charles, two brothers; L. J. Bertrand and wife Lena of Lake Charles, Edward Joseph Bertrand and wife Margaret of Sulphur. 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ravis Joseph Duhon, her parents, Louis Joseph and Estelle Hebert Bertrand, a brother Robert Louis Bertrand and two grandsons; Stephen Kirk Duhon and Bobby Wayne Duhon, Jr.
