Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie D. Coles, 92, will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 2 P. M.in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kevin Colston officiating.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery of Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Visitation for Mrs. Coles will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.

Mrs. Coles was a native of Iowa, LA and resided in Jennings most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jennings. She enjoyed gardening, humming birds and being a farmers wife.

Mrs. Coles died Friday, December 25, 2015 at 5:45 AM in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly ( Tony ) Gotte of Iota, LA and Margaret (Donald ) Sonnier of Gillis, LA , a son; Ed Coles, Jr. of Jennings, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren.

Mrs. Coles is preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Allie Nelson Desjardine, her husband, Keith E. Coles, two sister, Thelma McCowan and Emma Phelps, a brother Theodore “Charles” Desjardine, a grandchild, Jimmie Sonnier and two great grandchildren, Haley Campbell and Madison Ward.
