Marie Odile Doucet

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Odile Suire Doucet, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Doucet died at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Delcambre and a resident of Jennings. She was a graduate of Jennings High School. She loved to garden, travel and spend time with her family. She is survived by four daughters, Lois Palmer and husband Terry of Lawrenceville, GA, Lucy Regina Jayne and husband Glenn Jay of Clark Summit, PA, Karen Doucet of Jennings, Bertha Miller and husband Fred of Basile; two sons, Thomas Doucet and companion Bernice of Malvern, AR, Gerald Doucet and wife Lisa of Roanoke; three sisters, Ave Suire and Sylvia Taylor both of Jennings and Margaret Parsley and husband Archie of Evangeline; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Selvan and Amanda Bouillion Suire; two brothers and three sisters.
