Margie Marie Day

JENNINGS Margie Moore Day, 85, formerly of Jennings passed away at the Gueydan Memorial Guest Home in Gueydan at 12:30 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008. At the request of Mrs. Day, her body was cremated. Mrs. Day was born on February 24, 1923 in Manning, Texas. Graveside services, officiated by Rev. Wayne Cooper, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at the Savannah Cemetery, Jefferson, Texas. Mrs. Day is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Brent Martin of Brusly, LA and Judy and Wayne Cooper of Jennings; five grandchildren, Wendy C. Trahan and husband Chuck of Jennings, Neal Cooper of Atlanta, TX, David Wilson and wife Tracie, of Slaughter, LA, Devin Wilson and wife Shawn of Denham Springs, LA, Ross Martin of Brusly, LA; seven great grandchildren, Meghan Trahan, Kaycie and Nathan Cooper, Ashlyn, Erica and Taylor Wilson, and Jamie Piossot; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Betty Moore and her sister, Bettie Whatley Webb. Miguez Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
