Margaret Williams Brieske, 87, died Tuesday after several small strokes. She loved animals, flowers, took pride in her home in Peachtree City, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta), and, being lucky enough to have airline passes throughout most of her adult life, she enjoyed traveling the world. She was a whiz at the game of Bridge, both regular and duplicate. She was an executive secretary for the Fulton County, GA school district. When her husband, Augie, was dying of multiple myeoloma, she was his sole caregiver. Both she and her late husband were very thrifty, paying cask for every house they ever had bought though neither of them attended school beyond high school. She will be missed by her only child, Kit Odom and her husband Winston, her grandsons, Joel Odom and his wife, Catheyne, Stephen and his wife, Erin, as well as her great-grandchildren, Alex and Madeleine and their very soon-to-be brother, Jack. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Rev. Josh Milliron officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Sunday until time of services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be send to The Myositis Association, 1233 20th Street, NW, #402, Washington, DC 20036, (800) 821-7356.
