The family of Mr. Malcolm “Jude” Henry, 62, of Baton Rouge, LA, announces his passing on October 26, 2023. 

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2023, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, LA, with Father Jay Alexius officiating. Burial will take place in Thornwell Cemetery following the service under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on October 30, 2023, at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, LA, beginning at 3:00 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. and continue until the time to depart for church at 9:45 a.m.

Jude was born on March 22, 1961, in Welsh, La, to Walter and Nola Trahan Henry. Being raised in Thornwell, LA, Jude was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School. After high school, Jude went to work in the Oil and Gas Industry for several years and attended drafting school on the side prior to moving to Dallas where he went to work for a design firm managing the installation of large holiday décor for Bellagio Hotel, Neiman Marcus, and Hunt Oil Company. Living in Dallas, Jude loved living the simple life, enjoying spending time with family and friends and painting scenery. He was an amazing designer and painter and took pride in his work. He also loved gardening, cooking, and had a huge love for animals. After nearly thirty years, Jude moved to the Baton Rouge area, where he lived until his passing. 

Left to cherish his memories are his life-long friend and partner of 30 years, Darrell Foret; sisters, Claudine (Leland) Dupuis, Faye (David) Ardoin, and Pamela Bertrand; Sister-in-laws, Tricia Oddo, Darlene (Bob) Johnson, Debbie (Roland) Orgeron, Donna (Scott) Stansbury, and Judy Foret; brothers-in-laws, Bobby Foret and Jerry Foret; numerous nieces and nephews; and his godchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Thelma Kopnicky, Walterine LaFleur, and Myrna Oliver.
