LAKE ARTHUR
Funeral services for Mrs. Lurline Cormier Trahan, 89, will be held at 10:00 a.m., December 2, 2015 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.
Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Trahan died at 2:40 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Mrs. Trahan was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She worked as a caregiver, was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, member of the YaYa’s Club and a 36 year member of the Lake Arthur Pokeno Club. She was also an avid reader and a fantastic cook.

Survivors include two daughters, Juanita “Nit’ Thibodeaux and husband Ricky of Lake Arthur, Diana Courts of Lake Arthur; one son, Ronald K. Trahan of Lake Arthur; one sister Carrie Conner of Lake Arthur; one brother, C.J. Richard of Lake Charles; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adonis and Eva Vincent Cormier; her husband, Neelis Trahan; a son, John Trahan, Jr. and a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Allen Broussard, Sr.
