Funeral services for Mr. Luke Lee Myers, Jr. 79, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.

Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Myers died at 3:13 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Mr. Myers was a lifelong resident of Jennings/Lake Arthur and was a retired farmer.  He was a high school graduate and served in the National Guard. He loved to garden, farm and watch game shows on television.

His survivors include one daughter, Jenny (Jeffrey) Price of Jennings; one son Keith Myers of Jennings; three sisters, Margaret Mallett of Wilson, Martha Louviere of Welsh, Marcelite (Aubry) Sonnier of Jennings; two brothers, Andrew (Brenda) Myers and Charles (Linda) Myers all of Jennings; grandchildren, Gwendolyn Benoit, Allison Bertrand and Haylie Price; great grandchildren, Jacob Newman and Oliver Newman. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Mamie Kinney Myers, Sr.; his wife, Barbara Ann Cormier Myers; one daughter, Patricia Bertrand; two sisters, Marie LeBlanc and Sister Elizabeth Myers; and one brother, JC Myers.

The family would like to thank the Jeff Davis Living Center for their great care while Mr. Myers was a resident.
