Lucille Doucet

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille LeBlanc Doucet, 87, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 9, 2012 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Carroll Dunn officiating. Burial will be in the Istre Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service. Mrs. Doucet died at 7:05 PM on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in a local hospital. Mrs. Doucet had a deep love for God. She was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area. She was a great cook and baker. She loved spending time with her family, especially sitting around her table drinking coffee and enjoying her delicious baked goods. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Duhon and husband David of Midland, LA, Sherry Guthrie and husband James of Jennings; five sisters, Ruth Richard, Vina Langley and husband Jack, Dorothy Benoit and husband Ronnie, Eva Sitt, all of Jennings and Elday Thibodeaux of Mermentau; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Doucet is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Doucet; her parents, Alcee and Theresa Trahan Leblanc; two sisters, Hilda Broussard and Audrey Broussard, one brother, A.J. LeBlanc, and a great grandson, Saje Garett Bouley.
