Funeral services for Mrs. Lovenia Jane Guidry Dequeant, 81, of Elton will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Mike Guillory officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery in Elton under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Dequeant will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning and will continue until time of service.

Mrs. Dequeant was born in Grand Chenier, Louisiana on May 15, 1939 and passed away on October 15, 2020 in Crowley, Louisiana.  She lived in the Elton community most of her life and was loved by everyone she knew. She was a wonderful homemaker and her cooking at family gatherings was legendary. She also enjoyed shopping and she loved animals.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lenard Dequeant; daughters, Donna Parsons, Darlene Leger, Shelly Guillory; son, Joey Gotte; sister, Lorraine Roache; brothers, August Guidry and Ronnie Guidry; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aclan and Lillian Michon Guidry; son, Larry Gotte; sisters, Nora Graves and Betty Kibodeaux and brothers, Aclan Guidry, Jr. and Robert Guidry.
