Louise Young Harpin

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Benoit Young Harpin, 97, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2010 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. today, Thursday; and 8:00 a.m., Friday until time of services. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Young died at 5:48 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in the Golden Age Nursing Home in Welsh. Mrs. Young was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur, was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Boudreaux and husband Claude Boudreaux of Lake Arthur; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, Ulyes and Mary Lacombe Benoit; husband, Garlfield Young; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Alvin Van Price; two sisters, Rose Crador and Zula Fontenot; five brothers, William, Claude, Sweeny, Jules and Roy Benoit; and two great grandchildren, Chad Walker and Misty Boudreaux.
