JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Stagg Milner, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2009, in First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Masters officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., today, Thursday; and 8:00 a.m., Friday until time of services. Mrs. Milner died at 3:36 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at her daughters home in Jennings. Mrs. Milner was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of Jennings High School. She attended Vincent Business College one year. She worked many years in the ASCS office and managed the Jeff Davis Merchants Credit Bureau in Jennings. Mrs. Milner was a member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir, was director of the Nursery Sunday School Department and was a member of the Adult 3 Sunday School Class. Survivors include two daughters, Sherryl Milner Verdugo of Lafayette and Carol Sue Regan and husband Mike of Jennings; two sons, Richard Wayne Milner of Sharpsburg, GA and Jerry Mac Milner of Lake Charles; two sisters, Helen Stagg Evans and Ruth Stagg Conner both of Jennings; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Milner was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lawrence and Phosa Walker Stagg; her husband, Wilson L. Milner; one sister, Lois Stagg; and two brothers, Albert L. (Sonny) Stagg, Jr. and William Lee Stagg.
