JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Louis Simon, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m., today, Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in the Jennings Church of Christ on Cutting Ave. with J.C. Bailey and Douglas Broyles officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral Home visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday; and 8:30 a.m. today, Tuesday at the church until time of services. Mr. Simon died at 3:10 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2011 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Simon was a lifelong resident of Jennings, a rice farmer and a member of Jennings Church of Christ. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include one sister, Helen Roden of Brazoria, Texas; nephews, Cleve Simon and wife Dana of Jennings, James Simon of Evangeline; one niece, Dr. Susie Cox and husband Stephen of Sulphur; and great nieces and nephews, Danielle, and Christopher Simon, Chase, Brython and Susannah Cox.
