Funeral services for Mrs. Lorice Legros will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:30 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.  Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Legros will begin Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings at 1:30 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue Monday, January 14, in Jennings from 8:00 a.m. until time to leave for service.

Mrs. Legros was born in Jennings and lived in the community of Andrus Cove her entire life.  She was a faithful Catholic and was actively involved in the Catholic Daughters.  She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and was awarded Mother of the Year in Lake Arthur. Her family was her everything and she cherished every second spent with them. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed peeling pecans, gardening, making wine and also going camping.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, O’Neil Legros; her parents, Alfred and Azelie Simon Landry; her twin daughters, Elaine and Eyvonne Legros; three sisters, Alita Stewart, Gladis Brown and Rena Legros, two brothers, Louis and Sydney Landry and daughter-in-law, Lorraine Legros.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Danny (Ginger Hargrave) Legros of Jennings; grandchildren, Rhonda (Boogie) Lewis of Lake Arthur, Darren (Misty) Legros of Egan, Rhonetta (Joe Boy) Gotte of Gotts Cove and Rachel (Jody) Dykes of Sulphur; eleven great-grandchildren and 26 great great-grandchildren.
