Loretta Landry

Graveside services for Mrs. Loretta M. Landry, 74, will be held on Wednesday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur.  Family and friends are invited to attend these services.

Mrs. Landry was born on November 29, 1948, in Kaplan, LA to O’Nephous and Edna Lege Matthews.  She was a graduate of East Broussard High School and was a lifelong resident of the Lake Arthur area.

On Monday, April 10, 2023, surrounded by family that she loved so much, Mrs. Landry passed away peacefully. She was a faithful and loving wife to her husband of 51 years, Larry Paul Landry, who passed away on April 8, 2021.

She is survived by three sisters, Verda Matthews, Betty Gaspard, and Alice Matthews; three brothers, Johnny Matthews, Kaliste Matthews and Alphous Matthews; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Paul Landry, and two brothers, Jimmy Matthews and O’Nephous Matthews.
