Loretta Babineaux

Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Miss Loretta Babineaux, 88 on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be held today, Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 1:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 5:30 p.m. by the Ladies Altar Society. Monday visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Miss Babineaux died Friday, November 6, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jennings and graduate of Hathaway High School Class of 1937. Miss Babineaux retired from the former A & P Grocery Store in Jennings after 32 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She was well known for her love of family and her flowers and plants. Miss Babineaux is survived by two brothers; Charlie Babineaux and spouse Dorothy of Vinton, La. and Wilton Babineaux and spouse Jane of Jennings, La.; numerous nieces and nephews and her wonderful neighbors, Elaine Walker and Andrea Hurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Estalia Fruge Babineaux; a sister and brother in law, Della and Curtis Gilbert and a brother John Wilson Babineaux. Pallbearers will be Darius Babineaux, Michael Davy, Donnie Babineaux, Bill LeJeune, Craig Richard and Alan Babineaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Babineaux, Kade Babineaux and Murnel Babineaux.
