Loreda Gary

Funeral services for Mrs. Loreda Gary, 82, of Jennings will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.  in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Gary will begin on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.  with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:00 p.m.   Visitation will close at 8:00 p.m.  It will resume Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the 10:00 a.m. service.

Mrs. Gary was born on June 21, 1940, in Lyons Point to Helaire Cormier and Eve Hargrave Cormier. Her husband, Don passed away in 1998 after 40 years of marriage.  Mrs. Gary was a homemaker who loved baking, sewing, and decorating.  These hobbies excelled because of her love of her family and her tendency to spoil her children, and most especially her grandchildren.  She was also a Catholic Daughter.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Donnie (Tina) Gary of Jennings, Darryl (Markeitha) Gary of Toledo Bend, Dwayne (Cindy) Gary of Evangeline and Dierk (Lauri) Gary of Eunice; a sister, Katie Clark of Jennings; a brother, Michael Cormier of Magnolia, TX; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don; her parents; and three brothers, Dan, John, and Carroll Cormier.

Carrying Mrs. Gary to her place of rest are Jarod Gary, Ryan Gary, Tyler Gary, Garrett Miller, Billy Stracener, and Brian Miller.
