Funeral services for Mrs. Loney Boudreaux Cormier, 87, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Cormier died at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the Lafayette General Hospital.

Mrs. Cormier was a lifelong resident of Iowa and was a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing and gardening.  She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed having them over.  She loved the New York Yankees and the New Orleans Saints.

Survivors include her three sons, Wade (Bonnie) Cormier of Gueydan, Steven Cormier of Cecilia, Harry (Donita) Cormier of Iowa; three sisters, Francis Leger of Iowa, Cheryl Guidry of Lake Arthur, Pat Higginbottom of Lake Arthur; one brother, Lester Boudreaux of Orange, TX; 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Minnie Morine Boudreaux and her husband Euclide Cormier.
