Lloyd Joseph Broussard, Sr.

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd J. Broussard, Sr., 92 will be held in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation hours on Monday, August 10, 2015 will be from 2:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation on Tuesday will be from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. Mr. Broussard died at his residence on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 12:30 P.M. He was a native of Lake Arthur and resided in Jennings most of his life. He was a dragline operator for the Lacassine Company and retired at the age of 85. Mr. Broussard was an avid hunter and loved to work in the dirt. Mr. Broussard is survived by three sons; Lloyd (Pat) Broussard of Bell city, LA, David (Martha) Broussard of Frisco, TX, Jeremy (Tiffany) Broussard of Carencro, LA, two sisters; Jane McFarland of Lake Charles, LA, Leona Sonnier of Jennings, LA, a brother; Claude (Wilma) Broussard of Kinder, LA, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Alice Jane Gary Broussard, his wife. Otha Mae Bullock Broussard, a daughter, Mary Catherine Broussard, a sister, Ida Allemond and three brothers, Vern, Douglas and Carroll Broussard.
