Lloyd Dartez

Graveside memorial services for Mr. Lloyd Dartez, 82, of Jennings, will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Doucet Cemetery with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating.

Mr. Lloyd passed away peacefully in his residence on March 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Lloyd was born on January 14, 1941, in Jennings, Louisiana, to Granville and Vernice Dartez. He worked with the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years and worked in several different divisions. He also worked for the Louisiana Livestock Commission in which he retired from.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Steve (Melissa) Dartez; Seven Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Wilma Dartez; his parents; son, Rye Dartez; brother, Nealis Dartez and a grandchild Morgan Dartez.

The family has chosen to respect the wishes of cremation. Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
