LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Lilton “Chuck” Louviere, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2015 in Our Lake of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis of Assisi in Thornwell under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home in Lake Arthur. Mr. Louviere died at 4:06 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Louviere was a native of Lacassine and a resident of Thornwell for 75 years. He retired after 44 years of service from the Thornwell Warehouse and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council # 3012; he was chosen Father of the Year in 1999. He enjoyed visiting and drinking coffee with his friends and riding in his little truck. Survivors include two daughters, Ann “Baby Ann” Guillory of Lake Arthur, Norma LeBlanc and husband Hubert “Red” of Lake Arthur; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Mr. Louviere was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ellen Norris Louviere and his wife, Amy Henry Louviere.
