Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Pitre Lopez, 96, of Jennings will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.  Burial will follow in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Lopez will begin on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.

Mrs. Lopez was born on March 24, 1927, in Iota, LA to Mayo Pete and Augustine Reed.  She spent her life raising her family and taking care of her home.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially her sweet dough pies.  She enjoyed drinking her morning cup of coffee with her friends.  Mrs. Lopez loved and cherished her grandchildren and especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Gwen Richard (Late Rodney Richard), Keith (Bridget) Stutes, Troy Stutes, Chris Roy, Mark (Naomi) Courville, Coty (Lori) Courville, Jonathan (Cindy) Lopez, Brandy (Scott) Fuselier; nineteen great grandchildren; son-in-law, Clifford Courville; daughter-in-law Dale Lopez. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Emerson Lopez; her parents; daughters, Barbara Courville and Betty Jane Lopez; son, Robert Lopez; sisters, Helen Breaux, Hilda LaBouve, Ezora LaBouve, Vivian Crochet, Clamas Debarge, Gertie Broussard and Amelia Pete; brothers, Clifford Pitre and Oris Pete; and two grandchildren, Mandy Courville and Jamie Courville.  

Carrying her to her final place of rest will be Coty Courville, Brennen Courville, Jonathan Lopez, Kaleb Stutes, Bryson Hargrave, Jayden Hargrave. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Courville, Keith Stutes and Troy Stutes.
