Lester Antoine Barrilleaux, 89, born October 31, 1934, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024. He was a resident of Jennings, LA for over 30 years, with his loving wife of 54 years, Margia Mae Touchet Barrilleaux.

Lester graduated from West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA, and worked in the shipbuilding industry at Avondale Shipyard and McDermott as a supervisor, superintendent, and inspector. He worked two tours overseas in Singapore and Korea. He loved cooking, cutting grass, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church services with his devoted wife at Bethel Church in Jennings, LA, and studying God's word with his fellowship study group.

Lester is survived by his beloved wife, Margia Touchet Barrilleaux; daughter, Priscilla Barrilleaux Faulkner; son, Allan (Esmeralda) Barrilleaux; son, Ernest Barrilleaux, Sr.; daughter, Adele Barrilleaux Matherne (Chad); daughter, Leslie Barrilleaux Lauman; and three generations of grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Meyers and Dennis Barrilleaux of New Iberia, LA; former wife, Emily Hebert Soliday; daughter, Linda Barrilleaux Dominick; son, Rodney Barrilleaux; son, Perry Barrilleaux.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, Jennings, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A service to honor Lester's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Instead of flowers, the family requests potted plants.
