Leroy C. Vincent

The family of Leroy Charles Vincent, 68, of Jennings, announces his passing on July 1,2023, in his home surrounded by his family. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Jennings with Brother Townley officiating. Visitation will be held the same day from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial is to follow the service in Istre Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. 

Leroy was born on November 27, 1954, in Gueydan, LA, to Archie Vincent, Sr. and Fredia Thibodeaux. He lived in the Jennings area most of his life and worked at Leevac Shipyard for over 40 years as a Shipfitter welder. After his retirement, you can often find him around his house staying busy. Leroy enjoyed spending his time taking care of the yard or his garden. He also enjoyed working on small engines, in which he could fix just about anything. He loved his family and cherished every moment with them, especially his wife, Donna. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Donna Vincent; daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Elliott, Kimberly (Jerry) McFarlain, and Monica (Scooter) Willis; sisters, Lou and Pat; and his brothers, Russell, Alvin, Ricky, Kenneth, Shane, Ronnie, Bryan and Dwayne Vincent; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Arlene; and brothers, Archie Jr., Michael, and Richard. 

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Lamm Hospice for their care and compassion they expressed towards Mr. Leroy.
