Leora M Axe

Funeral services for Mrs. Leora Marie Robicheaux Axe, 88 of Welsh will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.  Entombment will be held at Resthaven Garden of Memories in Baton Rouge on June 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, “Gene”.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Axe will begin on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Axe was born on January 26, 1933, in Welsh to parents Leo and Clemmie Dossman Robicheaux.  She was a high school graduate and was a devoted wife and mother.  She was a member of the Welsh Museum, OLSD Choir and Serra Club.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Monica Zambrano and husband Ted of Kennedy, TX; three brothers, Ralen, Cedric and Terry Robicheaux; six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene “Gene” Axe; her parents; a daughter, Rhonda Lynn Axe and a brother, Ronnie Robicheaux.
