LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Leonard J. LeJeune, 73, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Honors will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. LeJeune died at 11:18 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his residence. Mr. LeJeune was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He was a retired oilfield tool pusher. He loved to fish, loved going to the casino and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Marie Fontenot LeJeune; two daughters, Cheryl Richert and husband Tommy of Jennings, Jo Marie LeJeune and husband Daniel of Jennings; two sons, Kenneth LeJeune of Lake Arthur, Kevin LeJeune and wife Tamika of Lake Arthur; one brother, Ronnie LeJeune of Texas; eleven grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and one godchild, Blaine LeDoux. Mr. LeJeune is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Joseph and Lillie Blanchard LeJeune, one granddaughter Nina Fruge; and two sisters, Geraldine Fruge and Wanda LeDeaux.
