Lawres Doucet

Lawres Romero Doucet, 96, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Jennings, LA. A lifelong resident of Hathaway, she was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Danny Doucet (Charleen) of Hathaway and Ronnie (Becky) Doucet of Jennings; one daughter, Beryl D. LeJeune of Jennings; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Doucet is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Romero; her husband, Harry Doucet; seven siblings and one great grandson, Jessy Paul Doucet. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 1 at Miguez Funeral Home with Father McMillin officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings. Mrs. Doucet enjoyed games on TV such as Wheel of Fortune, sewing and loved animals. She gave names to all of the cattle. She liked visiting with family by phone and enjoyed reading. Pallbearers will be Randall Doucet, Jacob Doucet, Morgan LeJeune, Wayne Bertrand, Mike Romero and Rick Romero. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Collado, Jimmy Credeur, Stacey Doucet, Keith LeJeune, Mike Thibodeaux and Donald Hine.
