In Loving Memory of Lawrence Mallett, Sr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence Mallett Sr.,65, a proud resident of Bayou Chen in Welsh, La. Lawrence went to be with the Lord on the morning of December 25, 2023.
Graveside burial services will be held on Thursday December 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., in Hanks Cemetery in Morse, LA. Deacon Mike Tramel will be officiating graveside services.
Lawrence was a beloved family man, dedicated cattle rancher, and respected former federal employee. Lawrence dedicated over 20 years of his life to serving his country through his work with the federal government, where his commitment and hard work left a lasting impact.
Beyond his professional life, Lawrence was a man of the land, finding peace and purpose in raising cattle. His love for this pursuit was evident in the care he gave to his animals and the land they grazed on. Family was the cornerstone of Lawrence’s life. He would do anything for his kids and grandkids. He cherished every moment spent attending his grandchildren’s functions, where he was not just a spectator but an active participant in their lives. His support and love created countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family.
Lawrence’s legacy is one of strength, love, and dedication. As we bid farewell to a man of great character and strength, we reflect on the countless ways he touched our lives. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his influence will continue to guide us.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Lula Mallett; children Tifane Cary and husband Troy Cary, Bridget Ramirez and husband Brian Ramirez, Jerome Mallett and wife Kim Mallett, and Lawrence Mallett Jr.; sisters, Juanita LeBlanc and Lenora Mallett; grandchildren, Taylor Mallett, Malaya Mallett, Alyssa Mallett, Carson Ramirez, Braylin Mallett, and Ethan Looney; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Warner, Jared Meaux, Madison Looney, and Blayke Mallett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Advelia Mallett and his brother, Adam Mallett Sr.
