Larry James Broussard

Funeral services for Mr. Larry James Broussard, 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur with Rev. Lloyd Whitman officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.

Mr. Broussard passed away at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2019 in his residence in Youngsville.

He was a 68 year resident of Lake Arthur and 3 year resident of Youngsville. He was a truck driver for over 30 years. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Broussard loved all children and had a knack for soothing and quieting crying babies. The apple of his eye and center of his world was his grandson, Eli. He was adored by all his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two daughters, Kalanie (Mark) Breaux of Lake Arthur, Moriah (Eric) Dugar of Youngsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, “Kitty” and Corky Yrun of Sierra Vista, AZ, LaNeve and Johnny Alejandro, Jr of Duson; one brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Susan Broussard of Winnie, TX; one grandson, Eli Dugar and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Luther Reed Duett and Dora Duett.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sandra and his parents, Lawrence and Margaret Pearl Whitman Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Andy Broussard, Colin Broussard, Cayden Broussard, Jacob Alejandro, Steven Troy Bennett and Tony Bennett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Corky Yrun and Steven Austen Bennett and Milfred Newman.
