Funeral services for Mr. Landry Guillory, 93, of Lake Charles will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Guillory will begin on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. It will resume at 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Mr. Guillory passed away Thursday, August 7, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends. He served his country honorably during World War II in the Navy.  Mr. Guillory worked as a manager in the retail industry selling dry goods and as a security guard. He worked very hard his entire life and he often remarked that “life was a learning process from ages 6 to 96”.  In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite way to relax. Mr. Guillory was a member of the American Legion Post #1 of Lake Charles and St. Margaret Catholic Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Roxanna Patches of Theodore, AL and Diana Pecheuos of Glen Burnie, MD; and two grandchildren, Dawn Benoit Thibodeaux and Wakiza Justin Benoit.

Preceding Mr. Guillory in death were his beloved wife Eva Beatrice Guillory; his parents, Celestin and Dornia Vizine Guillory and a brother, Wedney Guillory.
