Kirk Courville

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Kirk Aaron Courville, 41, of Jennings, will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Courville will begin Friday, December 9, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.   Visitation will resume Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m.  to leave for church.

Mr. Courville was born on July 29, 1981, in Jennings, to Clifton Courville and Brenda Lognion Courville.  In high school he enjoyed playing basketball and participating in track events at Hathaway High School.  After his high school graduation, he attended two years of college at McNeese and worked as an operator in the petrochemical industry at Lyondellbasell.  He loved any activities that involved his boys, including hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed gardening and won Garden of the Month.  He was an avid collector of guns and antiques.  He loved to joke and will be deeply missed by many.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Clifton, and Brenda Courville; two sons, Gage Aaron Courville and Grant Michael Courville, both of Carlyss; a brother Cody Christopher Courville and wife Brandi, nephews Cameron and Brandon Courville of Carlyss; his girlfriend, Lana Strickland and her two children, Kennedi and Brayden Strickland, all of Jennings.

Pallbearers will include Cameron Courville, Brandon Courville, Tod Courville, Rusty Lognion, Jeffery LaVergne and Corey Belaire.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gage Courville, Grant Courville and Brayden Strickland.
