Kimmie O'Blanc

Funeral services for Mr. Kimmie Wayne O’Blanc, 60, of Iota, will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Thomas Patterson officiating.  Burial will follow in Sensat Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. O’Blanc will begin on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the 2:00 p.m. service.

Mr. O’Blanc passed away peacefully at his home on October 1, 2022. 

Kimmie was born on June 6, 1962, in Jennings, Louisiana to Ray and Elaine Whiddon O’Blanc. He worked as a production operator in the oil industry most of his life. At an early age he would help his Paw Paw Alfred take care of the cattle and horses.  He learned to drive a tractor before driving a car.  His wildest dream was to one day live on a ranch.  Mr. O’Blanc also enjoyed watching his favorite teams, LSU and the Saints. He was also an Iota High School, Class of 1980, graduate.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; children, Kimber O’Blanc, Justin O’Blanc, and Tyler O’Blanc; grandchildren, Aidan O’Blanc and Hunter O’Blanc; brothers, Timmie (Becky) O’Blanc and Sheldon O’Blanc; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Yowla Whiddon and paternal grandparents, Alcee and Alice O’Blanc.

Carrying Mr. O’Blanc to his place of rest will be pall bearers, Timmie O’Blanc, Sheldon O’Blanc, Kendall O’Blanc, Justin O’Blanc, Aidan O’Blanc and Joey Chapman. Honorary pall bearer will be Hunter O’Blanc.
