Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Keith L. Kennedy, 49, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Elton with Rev. Marshall Boulet officiating. Burial will be in the China cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation on Friday, November 27, 2009 will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Scripture Service will be held Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Kennedy died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 5:05 p.m. at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Kennedy was a native of Kinder and became a resident of Elton at the age of 20. He graduated from Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota. Keith was an Eagle Scout at the age of 8 in 1978 in Minneapolis, Mn. He received numerous service awards after 25 years of service to the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation and Development. He was Co-Owner and Operator of K & C Elite Express Transport and K & C Kennedy Bushhog Services. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Connie and mother, Chris when his father passed away on Oct. 21, 2007, he stepped up. Keith will be remembered for his love for his wife and step children, his only granddaughter, KhylynPudden Rachelle Guillory, his dog Zack, his love for music and his numerous friends and business associates. He was a member of the Cajun French Music Association, the Justin Manuel and Cajun Express Band, the Bubba Freys Mowata House Band, a member of the Elton Methodist Church and a member by choice of St. Pauls Catholic Church. We will sadly miss him and love him always. He is survived by his wife, Connie Gilbert Kennedy of Elton; a daughter, Nicole Pousson and husband Chad of Kinder; a son, Aaron Floyd Guillory of Elton; his mother, Chris Schendel Kennedy of Elton and a granddaughter, Khylyn Pudden Rachelle Guillory. Pallbearers will be Chad Pousson, Aaron Floyd Guillory, Bubba Frey, Charlie Wine Thibodeaux, Shane Zaunbrecher and Michael Davy. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Schendel, Jim Schendel and Gary Schendel.
