The family of Mr. Keith Allen Credeur, 70, of Jennings, announces his passing on June 9, 2023, in Lafayette, LA. The family is honoring his wishes for cremation. Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. 

Keith was born in Jennings, LA, on June 22, 1952, to Charles Credeur and Pearl Gary Credeur. He was a graduate of Jennings High School in which afterwards, he never left his home roots. Keith had many hobbies of which his favorite of all was being out on the open waters commercial fishing and shrimping. Any time he went out to fish, you can bet he would go out on the famous “Blue Barge”. Being on the open waters was his passion and he loved every minute of it. In his spare time when not on the water, he also enjoyed his woodworking projects or out working in his garden taking pride in everything he would grow, especially his satsuma trees. He loved to give out his satsumas to everyone, even strangers.

To many, Keith is someone who will always have a special place in their hearts. He was a loving and caring man. If you were blessed to know Keith, you were lucky enough to hear one of his famous corny jokes or hear one of his great stories.  He always loved to laugh and have a great time in which he did best. Out of all that he has done and accomplished in his life, his greatest one was his family. He treasured his family and always enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They truly were his pride and joy. 

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Chris (Christa) Credeur; daughter, Krystal “P-nut” (Blaine) Brossette; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Credeur; and two grandchildren, Hannah, and Hunter Brossette. 

The family would like to express a huge appreciation to the Calcutta House staff, Hospice of Acadiana and Jeff Davis Home Health, for the love and care they have given to Keith.
