Katie B Fruge

The family of Mrs. Katie Blackwell Fruge, 84, of Jennings, wishes to announce that their beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 in her home.

Mrs. Fruge was born on May 24, 1936 in Independence, LA to Mattie Gasper and Lillie Eva Whiddon. She worked many years as the Manager of a credit union.

She is survived by her daughter, Velma Fruge of Jennings; two sons, Ricky Thomas Fruge of Jennings and Carl Fruge, Jr. of Lake Arthur; four grandchildren, Dustin Pentecost, Kelly Pentecost, Derek Fruge and Casey Fruge; and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fruge was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Fruge, Sr. and her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with Mark Broussard officiating.  Burial is under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
