Kathryn Newman

Kathryn Nancy Langan Newman, affectionately known as "Kati," has departed for her eternal resting place, leaving behind a legacy of kindness that resonated with everyone she encountered.

Born in Ridgewood, NJ, and relocating to Mahwah, NJ, as a toddler, Kati cherished idyllic summers at her grandmother's residence in the mountains of NY. Surrounded by numerous cousins, Lake Tennanah became her second home, where she delighted in swimming, boating, and barbecuing during the happiest days of her carefree childhood. Kati earned her college degree in mathematics and pursued a career in the field until she relocated to Battle Mountain, NV, got married, and raised her two beautiful children: Lisa and Jonathan.

Kati is survived by her son, Jonathan Newman; siblings, Lessie Langan, Marilyn Langan Weed, Kelly Langan McKeel, and Laura Langan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and will be missed by many. RIP sweet angel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Tipton Langan and Theodore "Ted" Langan; daughter, Lisa Newman; and her siblings, Peter Langan, Theodore Langan Jr.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings, LA.
