Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine “PeeWee” Daigle Esthay, 66, of Evangeline will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Mrs. Esthay died at 7:03 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019 in her residence in Evangeline.

Funeral home visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday until time of services.

She was a lifelong resident of Evangeline and a graduate of Iota High School.  She loved sewing, cooking, and baking bread. She enjoyed working in her yard, doing arts and crafts and going to the farmers market.  She absolutely loved her grandchildren and loved family gatherings. 

Survivors include her husband Jerry Esthay, Sr. of Evangeline; one daughter, Lucrecia (Vinson) Mouser of Bunkie; three sons, Jerry (Alicia) Esthay, Jr. of Iota, Claude (Gaylen) Esthay of Iota, Stacy Esthay of Evangeline; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Daigle; her sister, Shelly  (Melvin) LeDoux of Jennings and seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Melton Daigle; and one brother, John Wayne Daigle.
