LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Julius Greg Boutte, 59, will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday; and 8:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Boutte died at 8:10 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Boutte was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a graduate of the Lake Arthur High School class of 1969. He was a boilermaker in the plants. He was former Grand Marshall of the Lake Arthur Holiday Christmas Parade. He was a selfless individual with a servants heart who was constantly attending to the needs of others. Mr. Boutte donated many hours to setting up Christmas trees for the local home-bound residents of Lake Arthur as well as the Hall of Trees in the City Hall. He was honored as the first person to decorate the New Oak Tree on the end of Arthur Avenue. He dedicated the majority of his life to caring for his mother. He adored his nephews and niece and cherished his dogs. He is survived by his mother, Jewel Broussard Boutte; two sisters, Gay Lynne Boutte of Independence, LA and Melanie (Mrs. Stephen) Berken of Lake Arthur; two nephews, Jason Berken and wife Kayla and Joey Berken and wife Rebecca and one niece Kerri Chiasson and husband Ryan. Preceded in death by his father, Julius A. Boutte, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Aristele Boutte and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Broussard. Pallbearers will be Juan Broussard, Brady Broussard, Eric Broussard, Jason Berken, Joey Berken and Ryan Chiasson.
