JENNINGS Funeral services for Jules Carl J.C. Trahan, 76, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2009 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial with full military graveside honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m., until 10:00 p.m., Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Trahan died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Trahan was a lifelong resident of Jennings. He was a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1951 and studied Law Enforcement at LSU. He served as a Probation Officer from March 23, 1970 until Sept. 5, 1985 when he became Police Chief. He retired as Police Chief on April 1, 1988. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Trahan was an associate at the Jennings Wal-Mart for nineteen years. Mr. Trahan was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Brian Kurt Trahan and wife Bridget Berlin Trahan of Ragley, LA and Michael Robert Trahan and wife Jessica Guidry Trahan of Jennings; one sister, Juanita Daigle Shirah of Tee-Mamou, LA.; seven grandchildren, Angel Havard, Hannah Trahan, Keeley Trahan, Chance Trahan, Kamryn Trahan, Blake Trahan and Braden Trahan; three great-grandchildren, Ashley and Allison Miller and Alexis Fontenot. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. and Zelona LeBlanc, his two wives, Elta Jane Daigle Trahan and Rosalie Anding Trahan; and one step-daughter, Debbie Havard.
