Judy Scherer Dyson

Judy Lee Scherer Dyson, 66, of Lake Arthur, LA, passed away on January 2, 2025.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Lake Arthur, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of her service at 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Jared Thomas. Following the service, the family has chosen to honor Judy’s wishes of cremation. 

Judy was born in Salsbury, Pennsylvania, on October 17, 1958, to Clint and Jeanie Stouffer Scherer. If you knew her, you know she had a huge heart and loved her family. She loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent together. She enjoyed every minute she could spend with her grandchildren and even her dogs. She will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten. 

Left to cherishes their memories of her are her loving husband of 17 years, Adley Dyson, Sr.; daughters, Junita (Chris) Copeland, Teasha Willliams, Maranda Brown, and Coutney Williams; sons, Adley (Gwen) Dyson Jr. and Clarence (Trisha) Dyson, III; honorary son, Johnny (Sushanna) Onellion; Foster son, David Michaloupi; her cousins, Jackie, Donna, Margaret and Kenny; her two best friends, Rosie and Karen; twenty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Brandy Dyson.
