Judith A. Morvant

Funeral services for Ms. Judith Ann Morvant, 77, of Jennings will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 10 AM in Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Buddy Howard officiating.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger, TX.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Miguez Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m.    It will resume Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church and continue until service time.

Ms. Morvant was born on July 7, 1944, in Port Arthur, TX to John Allen and Jewel Eloise Levings Smart.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She also loved to play Bingo.  Ms. Morvant moved to the Jennings area in 2005 from Woodville, TX and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by five sons, Eric (Kena) Waldrep of Jennings, Dwayne (Niki) Waldrep and John “JM” Purvis, both of Spurger, TX, Keith(Angie) Waldrep of Woodville, TX and Joel (Ashley) Viator of Silsbee, TX; sister, Carolyn (Charles) Pousson of Fred, TX; twenty grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Brittany Waldrep.
