Joyce Odette Kilpatrick

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Robert Walker Kilpatrick, 86, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation was from 4:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday; and today, Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Scripture Service led by Deacon McNally was recited at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Kilpatrick died at 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a lifelong resident of Jennings, a graduate of Jennings High School class 1940, and was a teachers aide. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include her husband, James M. Kilpatrick of Jennings; one son, Robert C. Walker of Lafayette; step-children, Gayle Sharp of Pearl River, Sharon Gray of New Iberia, JoAnne Elridge of Lafayette, George (Tommy) Kilpatrick of Jennings and daughter-in-law, Elaine Walker of Jennings and three grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Wade Hampton and Nydia Martin Robert; her first husband, Alson G. Skip Walker, Jr. and son Alson G. Skipper Walker.
