Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Elliott Cormier, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the First Church of Christ on May Street with Bro. Jack Harris officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Cormier died at 4:30 a.m., today, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in her residence.

Funeral home visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday in the First Church of Christ until time of services.

Mrs. Cormier was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a homemaker. She loved to sew, plant flowers and spend time in her yard. She attended First Church of Christ.

Survivors include six daughters, Christine (Jerry) Fisk of Haughton, LA, Janet (Lester) Bouley of Jennings, Ruthy (Byron) Miller of Evangeline, Dana (Cleve) Simon of Jennings, Natalie Cormier of Jennings, Betty (Johnny) Miller of Hathaway; one son, David (Charlene) Cormier of Eunice; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Natalie Primeaux Elliott; her husband, Daniel Cormier; one sister, Mary Lee Elliott and one brother, George Elliott.
