Joyce Elaine Hobson

Jennings A Memorial service for Mrs. Joyce Elaine Lucas Hobson, 74, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Harvest Church with Rev. Dennis Ivey officiating. Mrs. Hobsons wish was to be cremated. She passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her daughters residence in Jennings, LA. During the 60s and 70s Mrs. Hobson was a resident of Jennings, La., where she and her former husband (Gerald Hobson) were the owners of Hobsons Gulf Service and Hobsons Wrecker Service. She returned to Texas in 1980 where she began working as a cashier for convenience stores. For more than 30 years she greeted customers with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. For the last nine years she was a loyal and dedicated employee of Tetco on the Loop in Crockett, Texas. Mrs. Hobson is survived by her daughter; Deidra Reed and husband Kyle of Jennings, a sister; Edna Bounds Kirk of Cut and Shoot, TX., two brothers; Norman Lucas and wife Carla of Crockett, TX. and Dorman Lucas and wife Joan of Crockett, Tx., two grandchildren; Kylie Reed of Lafayette, La. and Macie Reed of Jennings, La., and her nieces and nephews; Debbie Bounds of Spring, Tx., Randy Bounds of Cut and Shoot, Tx., Keith Lucas of Crockett, Tx. and Becky George of Wynn, Ark. The family requests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or flowers may be sent to the Harvest Church, 1405 E. Loop 304, Crockett, Tx. Arrangements were entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings, LA.
