Funeral services for Mr. Joshua Kevin “Josh” Sonnier, 28, of Lake Arthur, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 with a Cursillo Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.

Joshua graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 2008. He went on to McNeese State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business in 2011. He was passionate about his work as a rice and crawfish farmer. Joshua was just 27 years old when he achieved Master Farmer Status. As a successful entrepreneur he proudly served his customers as the founder and owner of Feet Down Guide Service and Sonnier’s Crawfish Pot.

Loved ones remember Joshua as a man who was humble and kind. His devotion as a husband, father, son, brother and friend was unmatched.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Meagan Savoie Sonnier; his son and pride and joy Jackson Kane Sonnier; his tender and devoted parents, Kevin and Paula LaFosse Sonnier and his loving sister, Erienne and her husband Joseph Keefe of Chicago, Illinois.

Joshua is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Helen LaFosse; his paternal grandparents, “Nuffy” and Marie Mae Sonnier and his aunt, Karen Sonnier Arledge.

Pallbearers will be Ridge Savoie, Joseph Keefe, Corey Vincent, Robbie Klein, Spencer Trahan, Ian and Isaac Woods.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Sonnier, Kenneth Sonnier, Richie Savoie and Brandon Trahan.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations, in memory of Joshua, to be made to Jackson Kane Sonnier, so that he may follow in his father’s very large footsteps.
