Joseph Adam Broussard

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Adam Broussard, 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services on Tuesday. Mr. Broussard died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at 1:28 p.m. in the Jeff Davis Living Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a retired truck driver for the oil and gas industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Broussard was the Patio and Safety Patrol at the Jeff Davis Living Center. Mr. Broussard is survived by two daughters; Susan B. Prejean and husband Shawn, Sr. of Jennings and April B. Richard and husband Jeremy of Morgan City; six sisters; Alice LeGros and husband Pete of Jennings, Hilda Swire of Lake Arthur, Brenda Kober and husband Reginald of Jennings, Evelyn LeJeune and husband Robert of Lake Arthur and Mary Hard and husband A. J. of Welsh; three brothers, Albert Broussard of Lake Arthur, Willie Broussard and wife Jean of Oregon, Leroy Broussard and wife Audrey of Lake Arthur and five grandchildren; Harlie Prejean, Breannah Richard, Elisha Richard, Shawn (Buck) Prejean, Jr. and Zara Richard. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Richard, Shawn Prejean, Asa Swire, Paul Hardy, Claude (Dozey) Aucoin, Brent LeJeune. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Fontenot and Shawn Prejean, Jr. Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Dorothy Vincent Broussard, a sister, Frances Monceaux and three brothers, Lawrence, Hillard and Clarence Broussard.
