Johnny Leger, 77, of Evangeline, LA, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Johnny was born on July 10, 1947, in Jennings, LA, to Clyde Leger and Nora Dugas Leger. He proudly was an Army Viet Nam Era Veteran. Later in life, he also worked as a Floor hand in the Oil and Gas Industry for many years. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to many.
Left on earth to cherish his great memories are his daughters, Keischa Stevens, Sheree Leger, Bailey Leger, and Lisa Junk; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends that will always love him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maryann David; and brothers, Allen Leger, Robert Leger, Harry “Bobby” Leger and 3 grandchildren.
The family has chosen to honor his wishes of cremation, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
The family will hold a memorial visitation in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings, on Monday July 29, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, at the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery, with military honors.
