Funeral services for Mr. John Richard Vidrine, 71, of Lake Charles will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Fitkin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Vidrine will begin on Monday, January 11, at 2:30 p.m. and continue until closing at 9:00 p.m.  It will resume at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday and continue until service time at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Vidrine worked as an operator in the plants around Lake Charles.  He enjoyed golf, and in fact loved many sports.  He loved to play pool and to cook for friends and family.  He also enjoyed music and George Jones was a favorite artist.  Mr. Vidrine served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory three daughters, Angie Merchant of Jennings, Jessica Vidrine of Austin, TX and Sara (Josh Nugent) Vidrine of Hathaway; two sons, Randy and Dustin Vidrine, both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Jackie (Mike)Fitkin of Grand Lake; Kathy (Blade) Morrish of Lake Charles and Jan (Randall) Conner of Kinder; one brother, Kenneth Vidrine of Utah; six grandchildren, Taylor, Laci, Mia, Caylee, Peyton and Terri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Fontenot Vidrine and Carrie Lee Hinton Vidrine.
